Good morning kids!
Hope you had a good weekend. Now it's back to the grind for another week!
This week's That's English task is related to boredom. Bearing in mind the current situation we find ourselves in, I thought it was quite a relevant topic!
To begin, click on the following link...
https://learnenglishteens.britishcouncil.org/study-break/video-zone/cure-boredom
The topic of the activity is boredom, why we get bored and a possible solution to the problem of boredom.
Before you watch the video though, you need to click on preparation. Here you need to link the words and short phrases to their definitions. Use a dictionary if you need to. When you're done, click on finish to see how you did.
Next up, the video. You can select subtitles and slow the video down if you feel you need to. Listen carefully and watch twice.
The next task is to check your understanding by putting the parts of the video in the order that they were mentioned. Again, when complete, click finished to see how you got on.
Lastly, you are given some different activities that you need to categorise in two columns. The options you have are either activities to distract yourself from boredom or, activities to meditate. As before, click on finish to get your result.
I hope you enjoy the activities and who knows, maybe it can help us to deal with boredom during these difficult times we are facing at present.
Good luck and have a nice week!
Paul
